Every year, thousands of South Africans want to start a business and never do — not because the idea was wrong, but because no one showed them the next step, or they couldn't afford the person who could.
The Problem With "Just Start a Business"
Most advice stops at "register your company." It doesn't tell you what to register, whether your idea can actually make money, or what to do in month two when the excitement wears off. Founders end up paying consultants they can't afford, joining generic courses that don't match their situation, or giving up before they've properly started. We built Biz In A Box to close that gap — and then rebuilt it again as a platform, because closing it one coaching client at a time was never going to be enough.

We measure the mandate in three honest stages, not one vanity number:
- Started — completed the Discover stage of a Launch Path and registered a business.
- Funded — received a Launch Grant or invested in a Biz-in-a-Box kit to get going.
- Sustained — still trading twelve months later.
A million "Started" is a good headline. A million "Sustained" is the actual goal — it's the number we report against, even when it's slower to grow than the others.
